Light Yagami's sense of morality evolves drastically throughout the series "Death Note." At the beginning, he is portrayed as a highly intelligent yet morally questionable character who believes he is cleansing the world of criminals by using the Death Note. As the series progresses, his sense of morality becomes increasingly skewed and he becomes more power-hungry and consumed by the idea of becoming a god-like figure. Eventually, he loses touch with his original intentions and descends into darkness, showing a complete disregard for human life and ethics.

Light Yagami's sense of morality in the series "Death Note" evolves from initially believing he is justified in using the Death Note to rid the world of criminals and create a utopia, to descending into megalomania and becoming a villain willing to sacrifice anyone who stands in his way, including innocent people. As the series progresses, Light becomes more ruthless and loses touch with his original moral compass, ultimately leading to his downfall.
