Seeds germinate and grow into plants through a process called germination. When a seed is planted in soil, it absorbs water, which softens the seed coat and triggers the germination process. Inside the seed, the embryo starts to grow and develop roots, stems, and leaves. The roots anchor the plant in the soil and absorb water and nutrients, while the stem grows towards the light source and the leaves begin photosynthesis to produce energy for the plant. With the right conditions of water, sunlight, and nutrients, the plant continues to grow and develop into a mature plant.
