Light Yagami, the protagonist of the anime "Death Note," initially handles the pressure of being Kira by maintaining a calm, collected demeanor and rationalizing his actions as a means to create a better world. He becomes increasingly confident in his abilities to evade detection and begins to see himself as a god-like figure. However, as the pressure mounts and his actions attract the attention of law enforcement and a mysterious detective known as "L," Light's mental state deteriorates. He becomes more paranoid and manipulative, taking extreme measures to protect his identity as Kira.
