Yes, fish do sleep, but their sleep patterns are different from those of land animals. Most fish do not have eyelids to close, so they do not have a traditional deep sleep like humans. Instead, they may enter a state of rest where they become less active, their metabolism slows down, and their responses to stimuli are reduced. Some fish may even find a suitable spot to rest in, while others may continue to swim slowly while resting.
