Seismically stable regions are typically areas that have low to no seismic activity or very infrequent and minimal occurrences of earthquakes. Some regions that are generally considered seismically stable include parts of the interior of continents, such as central Australia, parts of the Canadian Shield in North America, and some regions in northern Africa. Additionally, certain areas along the mid-Atlantic Ridge and the southern parts of South America are known for their relative seismic stability.
