Uncle blocks, also known as "ommer blocks," are blocks in the Ethereum blockchain that were once considered orphaned or stale. They are essentially valid blocks that were not included in the main blockchain due to being mined nearly simultaneously with another block. Uncle blocks are still rewarded in Ethereum to incentivize miners and help secure the network.
