Solar panels work by converting sunlight into electricity through a process called the photovoltaic effect. When sunlight hits the solar panels, the photons in the light interact with the silicon cells in the panels, causing the electrons in the cells to become energized and create an electric current. This electric current is then captured and converted into usable electricity for powering homes, businesses, and other electrical devices.
