In my opinion, the recent film "Parasite" directed by Bong Joon-ho has one of the best use of symbolism. The most effective symbols in the film include the staircase representing social hierarchy, the rock symbolizing the divide between social classes, and the flood representing the chaos and destruction caused by socioeconomic inequality.
