Dolphins use a variety of hunting techniques to catch fish. One common method is known as "herding," where dolphins work together to corral schools of fish into tight groups, making it easier to catch them. Dolphins also use echolocation to locate and target individual fish, stunning them with a quick flick of their tail before swallowing them whole. Some species of dolphins have even been observed using tools, such as sponges, to protect their rostrums while foraging on the seafloor.
