To care for a pet hermit crab, you should provide a suitable habitat by setting up a glass or plastic tank with deep substrate for burrowing, a shallow dish of fresh water for drinking and bathing, a dish of salt water for soaking, and items like shells and driftwood for climbing. Keep the tank humid and warm, around 75-85°F (24-29°C). Feed them a diet of hermit crab food, fresh fruits and vegetables, and calcium supplements. Make sure to clean the tank regularly and provide a variety of textures and hiding spots for enrichment.
