Nagato Uzumaki, also known as Pain, is a character in the Naruto anime series. He was the leader of the criminal organization known as Akatsuki, possessing the Rinnegan and being considered one of the most powerful characters in the series. Nagato was originally a member of the Uzumaki clan and was a student of Jiraiya, one of the legendary Sannin.
