Hedgehogs can be trained to some extent, but they do not respond to training in the same way that dogs do. While it is possible to teach a hedgehog some basic behaviors and tricks using positive reinforcement techniques, they are not as naturally inclined to follow commands or perform tricks as dogs are. Hedgehogs are more independent and have specific instincts and behaviors that may not be easily trained out of them.
