A whale's blowhole is used for breathing. It is a specialized opening located on top of a whale's head that enables them to take in air at the surface of the water and exhale the used air, along with any water that may have entered their respiratory system while feeding or swimming. This adaptation allows whales to remain submerged for long periods of time while still being able to breathe efficiently.
