The smallest mammal is the bumblebee bat (Craseonycteris thonglongyai), also known as Kitti's hog-nosed bat. It is found in parts of Thailand and Myanmar and has an average wingspan of only 5.7 inches (14.5 cm) and weighs about 0.07-0.15 oz (2-4 g).
