Bees make honey by collecting nectar from flowers using their long, tube-shaped tongues. They store the nectar in their "honey stomach" where enzymes break down the complex sugars into simpler forms. Once back at the hive, the bees regurgitate the processed nectar and fan it with their wings to evaporate excess water, turning it into honey.
