Plant cloves pointy side up, 1 to 2 inches deep, and about 2 inches apart. Place potted garlic in a south-facing or west-facing window for the most optimal light. Keep the soil evenly moist without saturating it. When shoots start to appear, harvest once they've grown 3 to 7 inches.
