You can reset your Apple ID password in a few ways, depending on whether you have access to a trusted device:

If you have a trusted device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac):

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap on your name at the top.
  3. Tap on Password & Security.
  4. Choose Change Password.
  5. You'll be prompted to enter your current password or device passcode.
  6. Then, you can create a new password and confirm it.

If you don't have a trusted device:

  1. You can visit the Apple ID account website https://appleid.apple.com/account/home.
  2. Click on Forgot Apple ID or password?
  3. Enter your Apple ID email address or phone number.
  4. Select your country or region.
  5. Choose a method to receive a verification code. This can be through email or text message to a trusted phone number.
  6. Once you receive the code, enter it on the website.
  7. You'll be able to create a new password.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

  • Make sure to choose a strong password for your Apple ID. It should be at least 8 characters long and include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Apple recommends not using the same password for your Apple ID as you do for other accounts.
  • If you're still having trouble resetting your password, you can contact Apple Support for further assistance.
