Bees make honey by collecting nectar from flowers using their long, tube-shaped tongues. They store the nectar in their honey stomach and return to the hive, where other worker bees help to process it. The bees then evaporate the excess water from the nectar by fanning it with their wings and enzymes are added to break down the sugars. Finally, the honey is stored in honeycomb cells and capped with beeswax for preservation.
