Light Yagami, the main character in the anime "Death Note," is motivated by his strong sense of justice and desire to create a world free of crime and corruption. He believes that the current justice system is flawed and ineffective in punishing criminals, which leads him to take matters into his own hands by using the Death Note to eliminate those he deems as criminals. His belief in his own moral superiority and the power he wields with the Death Note drive him to seek justice through his own means, outside of the confines of the law.
