Misa Amane becomes involved with the Death Note after she witnesses Light Yagami using the Death Note to kill a criminal. Intrigued by Light's actions and his sense of justice, Misa develops a crush on him and eventually obtains her own Death Note, hoping to assist him in his quest to rid the world of criminals.
