This has resulted in research on the Tunisian poet Abu 'l-Qasim al-Shabbi (1909-1933), who had a tremendous impact during his lifetime and continues to be Tunisian national poet, Mahmud al-Mas'adi, Francophone writers, the poet Awlad Ahmed, life writing, historical fiction and beyond.
