Volcanic breccia is formed from explosive volcanic activity. During a volcanic eruption, magma is violently ejected from the volcano, shattering into fragments as it interacts with the surrounding rock and gases. These fragmented pieces of rock are then deposited and cemented together by additional volcanic materials, forming volcanic breccia.
