Cardano's native cryptocurrency, ADA, is named after Ada Lovelace, a mathematician and writer known for her work on Charles Babbage's early mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. Lovelace is considered to be one of the first computer programmers, and her name was chosen to honor her contributions to the field of computing.
