How are raindrops formed?

Raindrops are formed through a process called condensation. When water evaporates from the Earth's surface, it rises into the atmosphere where it cools and condenses into water droplets. These water droplets then come together and combine to form raindrops, which eventually become heavy enough to fall to the ground as rain.
