Multisig, short for multisignature, is a security feature in Bitcoin transactions that requires more than one signature to authorize a transaction. This means that in order for a Bitcoin transaction to be completed, multiple private keys are needed to sign off on the transaction. For example, a multisig wallet might require two out of three private keys to authorize a transaction, providing added security and reducing the risk of a single point of failure. This feature is often used by businesses, organizations, or individuals who want to have more control over their Bitcoin holdings and increase the security of their transactions.
